GLASS FUSION Artist Alane Gray

Handcrafted Art Glass Fusion is created by selecting high quality handrolled stain glass(COE90) and handcuting into small pieces. Each piece is layered three to five high and fired in a kiln up to 1600 degrees F.

The annealing process begans where you flash cool the glass to 900 degrees F and cool down slowly for approximately 8 hours to prevent cracking and the glass becomes more durable.

Alane, also creates custom Kitchen and Bath tiles, suncatchers, nightlights,wine stoppers, jewelry and purse hangers. Each miniature art piece is One of a Kind.

Large white ginger vase reverse etched philodendron leaves.

I drew the leaves from plants in my yard, cut the stencil out of Venture Tape, used the leaf cutout attached it to the clean glass, blow dried it then sandblasted.
